There is nothing to buy here yet. Small tools are being built — each one for a specific job you do over and over in Revit. They are not the services: the services are work we do on your model. The platform underneath both is free.

The tools

We are building tools. Nothing is on the shelf yet.

Each one will do a single job you repeat in Revit — one screen, one set of parameters, one button in the Paracore gallery. The repetition we are working on is in annotation, in sheets and views, in rooms and areas, and in the walls, doors and windows of the model itself.

No names, no descriptions, no prices — yet

A tool is written up on this page only once it is finished and tested on real projects. Until then there is nothing honest to say about it: what it does, what it saves you and what it costs are settled by the work, not by a plan. When the first one is ready it appears here with all three.

The platform underneath is free, so you can automate your own work in the meantime — the documentation shows you how.

Why this exists

Dynamic C# scripting, and a desktop app to keep it in.

Paracore is two things that normally arrive separately. A scripting environment that runs C# straight against the live Revit API — the language and the objects an add-in uses, but with no project file, no build step and no restarting Revit. And a desktop app that manages the result: every script you keep becomes a tool, with its own parameter screen, filed in a gallery and run from there. The four approaches below each solve part of that. None of them is both.

Dynamo
A visual node graph. Genuine automation, but you program by wiring boxes together. Complex logic becomes a diagram only its author can read, and one wrong wire stays invisible until the run fails.
pyRevit
Python, packaged as ribbon buttons. Very good for small utilities. It is Python rather than C#, so you work through a bridge instead of the API itself, and every tool ships as its own extension folder.
Rhino / Grasshopper
A second modelling environment. Geometry-first authoring, bridged into Revit with Rhino.Inside. Powerful — but your building now exists in two places and the two have to be kept in step.
C# add-in
The professional route, with a build cycle. Visual Studio, a project file, a manifest, and a restart of Revit to see one changed line. Correct, and far too slow to think in.

What we did instead

Paracore runs C# — the language the Revit API is actually written in — straight against your open document. No node graph, no Python bridge, no second model, no compile-and-restart. You write, you press run, the model changes. When a script earns its place, you save it as a tool with its own parameter screen and it sits in the gallery beside every other tool.

That combination — a desktop app, a free execution engine and plain C# against the live model — is not something you can assemble from the tools already on the market. It is the reason this exists.

Free

Everything you need to start.

The platform is free and MIT licensed: the engine, the add-in, the desktop app, the VS Code extension, paracore-gen and the documentation. What we charge for is the work — takeoff, BOQ, training — and each tool as it is released.

Free

The platform

The add-in, the core execution engine, the desktop app and the VS Code extension — a script management platform for Revit. Create, edit, organise and run C# against the open document: raw Revit API or our extension methods, with a generated parameter screen for every tool. MIT licensed. Revit 2025 or later.

Three public repositories — Paracore (the engine, the add-in, the desktop app and the VS Code extension), paracore-gen (the MCP server) and paracore-help (the docs) — MIT licensed and open on GitHub. Clone them, read them, break them.

Not sure which

Tell us the model, and we will tell you what it can measure.

One project file. We will tell you what is measurable, what is missing, and which service covers it.
